Meet Baby Loo
Baby Loo is a DNA sexed male, 17-year-old Congo African Grey parrot. Baby Loo has only had one owner, who is now too ill to care for him further. He loves staying busy by destroying his toys and carefully watching everything going on in the home. He loves bells and says “What are you doing?”; “Who’s your daddy?”, “Ok, sweetheart, see you later,” and mimics many sounds including the microwave, meows and dog barking. He loves being outside in an aviary during the day and listening to music. He steps up well on a stick and on the hand (especially for men.) Baby Loo is brand new to PEAC as of February 20, 2020, and will be in quarantine for 4 weeks as we wait for test results to return. He will not be available to be seen or adopted until he is out of quarantine in late March.
He has received a full bird wellness exam which includes bloodwork and tests for psittacosis and PBFD. Baby Loo’s foster mom is providing a broad diet of pellets, vegetables, and fruits, with nuts and some seed as a treat.
